Overview
Production Order Confirmation is used to record the actual execution of a production order (operations completed, quantities produced, activities consumed, and goods movements). The most commonly used transaction is CO11N (Time Ticket Confirmation).
Prerequisites
- Production Order is created and Released (CO01)
- Components are available (or backflush is active)
- Authorization for confirmation transactions
- Understanding of the operations in the order
Step-by-Step Process (CO11N)

Enter Transaction Code
Go to transaction CO11N (Time Ticket for Production Order) and press Enter.

Enter Order & Operation
- Enter the Production Order number
- Enter the Operation number (or leave blank to select)
- Press Enter
- System displays operation details, standard values, and quantities

Enter Confirmation Data
- Yield – Quantity of good material produced
- Scrap – Quantity of scrap (if any)
- Rework – Quantity to be reworked (if applicable)
- Activity Times – Setup time, Machine time, Labor time, etc.
- Personnel Number / Work Center (optional)
- Posting Date – Date of confirmation
- Select Final Confirmation if the operation is completely finished

Goods Movements
- If Backflush is active → Components are automatically issued
- If Auto GR is active on the last operation → Finished product is automatically received
- Otherwise, go to the Goods Movements tab to post GI/GR manually

Save the Confirmation
Click the Save button (or press Ctrl + S).
The system:
- Updates the Production Order with confirmed quantities
- Posts goods movements (if applicable)
- Updates costs and activity consumption
- Changes the status of the operation/order

Important:
- If goods movements fail during confirmation, they appear in COGI for reprocessing.
- Final confirmation sets the operation status to CNF (Confirmed).
- After all operations are confirmed and GR is done, the order can be settled using CO88.
Helpful Tips
- Prefer CO11N – it is modern and user-friendly.
- Always check the Yield quantity carefully – it drives Goods Receipt and costing.
- Use “Final Confirmation” indicator when the operation is completely finished.
- If components are not backflushed, post Goods Issue separately using MIGO.
- You can cancel a confirmation using transaction CO13.
- Monitor open confirmations and errors via COOIS and COGI.
